A System Approach to the Human Brain
Anything that has multiple parts which work collectively to reach common goals has to be driven by a system. Such multiple parts cannot work independently and still reach common goals.
This simple and fundamental fact is overlooked by neuroscience, which studies various aspects of brain’s workings in great details, but does not see it as a system that works in an integrated manner to reach common goals.
The first comprehensive approach to see brain as one integrated system has resulted in the development of the DOS Model, which reveals a system consisting of multiple interconnected mechanisms running in the brain that form what we call mind.
Identifying brain areas responsible for the functional components of the DOS model can take neuroscience to the next level, making it more reliable and conclusive.
